President of Heidi Smith Communications Receives PR Professionalism Award

Sarasota-Bradenton, Fla. (April 2011) Heidi Smith, president of Heidi Smith Communications Inc. in Sarasota-Bradenton, recently received the Ginnie Duffey Troyer Award of Professionalism from the Florida Public Relations Association, Central West Coast Chapter. The award recognizes a chapter member who displays the highest level of professionalism in the public relations field.

Smith’s firm, which is in its twelfth year of operation, specializes in strategic communications planning and public relations services. Smith has worked in the public relations profession in Southwest Florida for 20 years. Previously, she was a business journalist in the Tampa Bay area. She has earned the professional designations of “Accredited in Public Relations” and “Certified Public Relations Counselor.” She is a graduate of the University of Florida.
